I was getting sick of going on these mindless first dates where the person was a complete stranger. I tried Cerca because I like the idea of having a mutual connection with a person, it makes it feel more real, and OMG it has worked so well. Before I went on these dates, I asked the mutual connection we both had on what we should do and it has made them so much more successful. Not to mention we always have someone to talk about on the date. I also love the interface, app design is sick.

required me to sync my ENTIRE contact list to see who I have mutuals with. Seemed suspicious and I was uncomfortable with the fact that my family members, former friends, and exes might be able to see that I was on a dating app or that mutual friends of ours could tell them. I granted full access anyways (my mistake) and then it wouldn’t even let me into the app until I sent the link to 5 other people to sign up. So much for spending all that time creating an account. I also have gotten way more spam texts and calls since trying to create my account. I believe this is just a scheme to harvest large quantities of phone numbers to sell to scammers. They now have my entire contact list and the contact lists of other people who graciously agreed to sign up to the app to help me get in before I realized something was amiss.

Cerca Dating restored all my trust in online dating. I have struck out countless times on other apps, but Cerca Dating proved successful. The unique ability to match with mutuals instead of location based gives substance to dates and makes conversation ten times more engaging and fun, which is what dating is all about.
