Hullo vs Feeld

In the evolving online dating landscape, users are seeking apps that foster meaningful and compatible connections. Hullo leverages AI-driven matchmaking, behavioural insights, and First Voice interactions to help users form genuine chemistry. Feeld focuses on open-minded dating, alternative relationship structures, and adventurous connections for singles and couples. According to a 2025 Global Online Dating Trends Report, over 66% of young adults now prefer apps that emphasise personality, emotional depth, and intentional interaction rather than surface-level swiping. “Hullo’s AI-powered and voice-first features allow users to experience personality and emotional cues, creating deeper and more compatible relationships,” says Dr. Emily Zhao, relationship technology researcher at the University of Melbourne. “Feeld provides a platform for open-minded singles and couples to explore non-traditional connections and meet like-minded individuals,” explains Dr. Daniel Park, social behaviour expert at Seoul National University. If you are deciding between AI-driven voice compatibility and alternative/open-minded dating options, this comparison will help you choose the app that best fits your relationship goals.

This app is solid so far. The only big problem I have with this and many other dating apps is that you HAVE to buy some membership in order to message or see profiles. Now, the good thing is that they don’t limit you to one pic, you just need to add like 3 or 4 pics of yourself in order to see their pictures, or if your uncomfortable about your appearance, you can just click on an add, once the add is finished you can actually see the person’s pics. And I think the main problem with this app is that you can’t even message people, they didn’t even considered giving us like “100 messages” for say to be able to chat. You are forced to buy the memberships in order to chat with someone. Now, there is a loophole to this. And that is simply giving put your insta, X, telegram or some other messaging app in your Bio. You just gotta pray that someone will come across your profile and scroll down to your Bio and is actually interested in chatting with you. Now, a system that I recommend, in the next possible update, add free messages, like up to 50 or 100. Once the user uses them all, set a timer to restore their free messages, like c’mon isn’t this app and many other dating apps’s purpose to make people chat & hookup? Like use your heads, stop thinking about the money and think about what your customers are in for, we can all agree that we’re TIRED of these membership plans and having to spend money and waste our time. Like I’m way too focused on knowing women my age in my local area

I’ve been on this app for a few years now and it’s always been hit or miss and buggy. And the developers could make it so it doesn’t have to be this way! I live in a major metro area and it’s one of the locations in the list they have. But when you filter to only see people that have been online in last seven days even with a generous distance range, full age range, Females (hetero, bi), and not restricted to specific desires - you get a handful of people a day. When you take off the recent filter you get MANY people and most of them haven’t been on in over a month. Feeld needs to engage their users more to increase recency and there are ways to doThis. Also, in the dating world I’m hearing more and more people add it to their app list and you’re seeing more vanilla people on it which is fine - but they have to increase user engagement. Also, it’s buggy. When I pull it up and set it toMy location (again I live in a large metro) I get some users according to my filters. But when I first login, it says out of users in are. So I toggle to the location list, see users, and then back to my location, and see users. This is a bug that should be solved and perhaps why they get less user engagement. Also, if I’m searching in one of the location lists it’s an immediate “pass” on people 1000s of miles away. We should be able to filter these people out.

Idk if the app is actually worth it it has you put I. Your location and gives you people hundreds of miles away… I mean the women for the most part are cute but, I have zero possibility of knowing if someone likes me back and I have no clue if they even see my likes without having to pay for premium that is…. What I’d like to see is closer location services there’s plenty of people in my area I know it and maybe I have to pay to see the liked me portion but at least tell me that people like me because my stuff is DRY…. Also maybe cut the free like timer rest to like 12 hours ?? Idk I kinda feel like I can explore more without forgetting the app exists which has happened !!On a more positive note some things I like about the app are the fact that once you’ve reached your limit of likes it starts a timer to when you can start liking profiles again which is cool since tinder got rid of that… another thing is the app doesn’t refresh a lot so if you’ve ran out of likes but there’s someone you really want to swipe on you can get out of the app and as long as you don’t close it it doesn’t refresh and then you have to search for her again… I like the low app load time.. I’m going to contradict myself here but I do like that some women are outside of my zone such as there was a girl from Germany and one from somewhere else it was nice but mainly as stated before I’m looking for in my area… All in all it could be a good app but it has that if you actually want to meet someone you have to pay unlike tinder where you can swipe roulette and if you match you can talk and share info and it tells you someone likes you with a name!!

This app used to work decently, and I’m not a paid member so perhaps I don’t have much a box to stand on. Then they updated it and it went to heck. It first listed your exact microtown (no thank you, I prefer to be able to search by the city I’m near, and I do not like having my specific microtown listed.) The next update removed location seemingly altogether. (NOT HELPFUL EITHER!) Now, after several updates over the past week, one still cannot send photos (the button appears to be decorative only at this point), like or dislike a human (the app freezes entirely and you have to reboot it) and the location appears to still be completely missing from everyone’s profile. Am I looking at locals? Presumably because some of them have been in my feed since before the updates. The “seen” message by a message disappeared too, which was helpful to know if someone was inactive versus just… meh about returning messages. I’m guessing everyone there at Feeld is rushing around with their pants on fire (most programmers I know work doubles when a program is due or an update has gone badly) and while I don’t envy them their schedules right now, I’d really like the old version of the app back. Apps like this have sort of taken the place of church and bars in terms of “how to meet people while non-religious and not a drinker” for much of my generation and those younger. It’s a shame to have it become the equivalent of a local watering hole suddenly with a sign on front that says “closed until further notice”…
